Royal Oaks 2012

After school today we headed up north to visit an apple orchard. It was a gorgeous day to go. Last year we went and it was raining and chilly but we still had a great time.

We went picking for probably only 20 minutes but were able to fill our bags and tummies in that time frame. The girls enjoyed having Grandma come with us but they stated many times their disappointment that no one else could come along especially Aunt Trish. She may have been just as disappointed as not being able to come with us as we went to "her" apple orchard. We then had conversations about work and why people work and why we need money and so on and so on.

See all the beautiful apples at the top of the tree? We were not tall enough to reach them. At one point Cora started "calling" for Uncle Nate to come and help her get the apples. We had to go over the same conversation about Uncle Nate is working and not able to come.
