ROY G BIV

I learned the "correct" colors in the rainbow by learning the initials ROY G BIV. Today Cora brought home this paper from school and apparently she just learned the order and names of the colors themselves. We talked about the order this summer while using sidewalk chalk and it must have stuck.
Also her letter writing has greatly improved in the past month. It is amazing how much of a sponge little ones are. They pick up almost anything being said around them and intentially being taught. Oh, I hope we don't miss too many opportunities to teach and instruct but choose instead to hurry along or get frustrated with their questions.
