Vacation 2011 {Part 4} - NYC (Meg's Graduation)

Our ENTIRE vacation was planned around one important person and their special event....Dr. Meghan Lewis. We took our first taxi ride from our hotel to NYU. We learned on this trip that in NYC that taxis and limos are exempt from carseat laws. Since this was our first taxi ride with children, I have no idea if this is the case in other states or cities. Also we learned that when it is raining (which it was this day) taxis are very hard to come by. An unfortunate situation since our plan for transportation all day was a taxi.

The girls did fairly well through the ceremony. Cora was able to sit quietly for almost all of it.

 The 2 Doctors!
The girls loved hanging out with Peter's cousin, Marissa at the restaurant.
Tia Meg & Miss Dana - the ultimate babysitting team. An honor to meet Dana who I have heard about my entire time as a Lewis but never had the chance to meet before.
Meg looked all over for a restaurant that could accommodate a group our size. The food was delicious and service great BUT the whole place only had 2 highchairs and most restaurants had none....welcome to NYC.  I live in a child-saturated world with highchairs, kid's menus, crayons, bibs, and sippy cups :) All 3 little girls were ladies throughout the meal and the waitstaff assisted us any way they could.

CONGRATS DR LEWIS!!
So glad we could celebrate with you!
