Morton Arboretum with friends

So....this about an activity that happened today....shocking! It is very seldom I blog about something so close to when it happened but I know if I post it today, then it will be posted and I won't forget to do it :)

I decided that we are going to finish the summer with a bang...well at least with at least one "bigger" outing a week. Today we headed to the Morton Arboretum. I had asked my parents to come but they have a lot to do with just doing a wedding (that blog post to come later). I asked Trish & Nate and they said, "YES!" Not sure who was more excited, me or Trish. This morning at 7:15 AM my cell phone buzzes and I have a text asking if we want to hang out with friends and do something outside....of course I told her our plans so she (being very spontaneous) said sure, we will meet you there at 9:30. In the end Trish & Nate got there but couldn't stay (though they brought me their nice camera...THANK YOU!) because of an emergency at work. We will definitely be going back so we will schedule it again. The kids ran around. They played in a ton of water exhibits. They got very wet and dirty but they loved it all.

We played the entire time (from 9:45 - 12:15) in the Children's Garden. There were so many interactive things to do. The weather was nice though at the end very hot and sunny. On Wednesday's the price is cheaper which made the day not as pricey. We loved it!
