As I reflect on what we did for Cora's birthday....I am exhausted. I think we may have overdone it that day but all had a grand time and recuperated since.
Here is a play-by-play of Cora's special day.
decorated door
Chairman of the birthday committee: Kalli
Birthday Girl!
breakfast with house guests - college friends (jon & kylie watters)
opened presents (i always opened them at night when i was a kid - felt like torture so i thought, i am the mom and i make the call so presents after breakfast)
off to Cosley Zoo (daddy wore purple in honor of Cora's bday)
Kalli enjoying the Zoo and some Chick-fil-A
the pig at Cosley Zoo
Cora's imitation of the pig (love this girl!)
Rainforest Cafe for dinner (seriously thunder and lightening in a place catering to children?)
Cora's reaction to all the animal noises and "thunderstorm"
Final activity - Build-a-Bear (who knew they would have a HUGE Hello Kitty for us to take home? I was planning on a bear or dog...not Hello Kitty)
kissing her heart
rubbing her heart on her head
tickling her nose with her heart
inserting her heart into her!
"bath" time
3rd bath (apparently she was very dirty from the process)
found a Hello Kitty chair
and robe and clothes (thank you Build-a-Bear for making this become a discipline moment as we were not going to be taking home ALL of the Hello Kitty accessories.)

Highlights of the day:
- Cora loved the Zoo
- Cora was okay with the thunder by the end of dinner
- Cora LOVED the fish at Rainforest Cafe
- A fantastic day as a family
- Peter got his favorite food for lunch (Chik-fil-A)
- Cora named her Hello Kitty - Toot Kitty - because she has lots of toots
- Stopped by Eddie Bauer to Aunt Becca which both girls enjoyed this.
- Cora telling her daddy that Toot Kitty needs Hello Kitty underpants because she is a big girl and that is what big girls wear so she needs them.
