11 Months

Kallyn Joy turned 11 months on Sunday. Nothing significant about this age except the reminder that she is so close to being 1 year.  It is so hard to believe. When my due date was 4 weeks away, I remember thinking that I needed to be prepared because our little one could come any day. Well, she came very close to her due date (only 3 days early) but I have to say that this was more comfortable than her sister's arrival at 10 days late.

We feel like this past month has been a big one for Kalli. She is able to scale the stairs (with someone walking behind for safety). We have to constantly have a gate at the bottom of the stairs because she will make a break for it at any moment. She cruises along all the furniture and anything else like walls, cabinets, leg, windows, etc. She recognizes people's faces (her face lights up when she see certain people...especially her big sister). She is able to eat most anything though she chooses what she wants to eat. If she doesn't want to eat something she calmly drops it to the floor. This behavior is also common for socks. No matter how hard I try, she arrives places with no socks on her feet. After removing Cora's carseat recently, I found this stash of socks and shoes.

Kallyn has the best laugh. I think we might be enjoying it even more because Cora didn't laugh out loud as much as Kalli. But Kalli might laugh more because she has an attentive audience as well as comedy routine to laugh at. Her favorite things are...music (LOVES to dance and clap), remote controls, cell phones, magnets, and stickers.
