Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas here in Chicago. Here is a quick play-by-play of this holiday week activities.

Sunday - Dinner at Trish & Nate's - good food and great company. (the McMillans were there as well and that was really nice)
Monday - Amanda returns to town and see her briefly
Tuesday - BIG family secret (not really since Dad figured it out and we told them on Sunday) where we took pics for Mom & Dad's Christmas gift. The pictures literally took 15 minutes for many poses and 10 people. We were pretty impressed with JCPenney Joe's photo skills.

Wednesday - Christmas Eve church service, did nursery for later service, and then to the Boyle's for fondue and family time. Coralyn didn't have any fondue but enjoyed her highchair, spoon, and sippy cup.

Thursday- Christmas Morning at our house. Coralyn enjoyed opening her gifts. We kept it simple. Peter and I exchanged gifts as well. The central themed seemed to be video games...I got a game, Peter got a game, and Peter got a gaming chair. We then went back to the Boyle's for the day. It was wonderful to spend time with family. It was relaxed with wonderful food. The men were in charge of the potatoes.

Friday - Peter had to work but Coralyn and I went back to the Boyle's for brunch with the Greens. They have been friends with my parents from when I was a kid. We enjoyed reconnecting with them. Later that evening we had dinner at Lou's with the Johnsons....our friends but also our flock leaders. We wanted to thank them for the wonderful job they do in providing leadership and encouragement to us as small group leaders at Harvest. Lou's was great food but the time with friends was sweet.

So today, as I type this, we are awaiting the arrival of Melani and Meghan. I expect it to be a great week full of laughter, fun, paparazzi, love, and conversation.

We missed seeing the Lewis family at Christmas and look forward to the visit from the girls as well as seeing the parents in the coming month.

Merry Christmas to you all!
Love,
the Lewises
