It is hard to remember life in marriage not as a parent. Mainly because our oldest is now six and we were pregnant for 9 months before that so it really is closer to 7 years we have had this feeling of being parents. The challenges are very different from pregnancy to newborns to 3 year olds to 6 year olds but each stage has called me to my knees in prayer for wisdom, forgiveness, worship, joy, hope, and many other things.
We love our Cora so much. Her phrases and thoughts - "his-storical vs her-storical (boy vs girl stories), telling us to "keep that in your head" to tell us to remember something, asking for definitions of words, using - persept instead of except. Her mind is always going. She is pondering the world and she tells us "I am inferring....". She is continuing to mature too. She is growing in flexibility of things not going her way and is growing in her compassion for others. She loves to speak about being in God's family and she prays nightly for those she knows to become christians. She tells us her best knock knock jokes too.
