Blinker

Cora hears most sounds that we either ignore or don't hear. She heard the blinker for the first time recently. She asked "what is that noise?" and we narrowed it down to the blinker. She immitated the noise (which the best description we can come up with is that it sounds like someone is passing gas) and told us she has a blinker. The conversation continued and at one point the conversation went like this:
Mom: "The purpose of the blinker is to tell people we are turning. Cora, what is the purpose of your blinker?"
Cora: "The purpose is purple! The purpose is purple."
Mom: " Peter, what is a better word than purpose, she obviously doesn't know what it means?"
Dad: "I do not know."
Mom: " How about function?"
Dad: "Um, no!"
Cora (making passing gas noises this entire time saying it is her blinker): "The purpose is purple!"

So now our daughter walks around making farting noises saying it is her blinker whose purpose is purple.
