| Sledding |
This post has so many facets to it and I wasn't sure what the main topic should be. See, Cora went sledding for the first time ever on Saturday. I heard from her Aunt Trish that she LOVED it. So do I talk about what a wonderful time Cora had exploring the snow and sledding and then had her first taste of hot chocolate. Or do I talk about how blessed we are to have not only grandparents but aunts and uncles living near by who love our kids soooo much that they desire "playdates" with our kids. Or do I talk about how sweet it was that my sister took Cora for a morning because Peter was out of town and I had a lot to do at the house and really needed help with Cora and then when she brought her home for her nap, she mashed the broccoli and stirred the soup I was making for about 30+ minutes because it needed that and I was still working on my long list of to dos.
I thank the Lord for these provisions in my life. The kind word when I am stressed, the love for my children, the gift of laughter and physical health, family that we are not only physically close to but also relationally close to. Trish and Nate moved to the suburbs this spring/summer and I think I thought they would love it and see how great it is and that they would enjoy living so close to family and that it would be a blessing to them. What I see is that me and my family are being blessed abundantly by them living so close and I treasure this time that we have. I could write similar stories about all the members of my family, thank you mom, dad, Becca, Amanda, and Jeff - may I show my gratefulness to all of you that I get the privilege of calling my family.
