Science & Industry Museum

At the beginning of October, we took advantage of our Illinois Residency Status and went to the Science & Industry Museum on a Free day for IL Residents. (In the future, when taking advantage of a free outing I should factor in parking, not packing a lunch so paying a high price for pb&j in the cafe, and the gas). Our friends, the Johnsons, met us there. The girls really enjoyed a lot of the museum but found a few sections too loud for their liking such as the trains and the tornado/storm areas.

They still talk about the chicks hatching and "being patient" as we waited for the chicks to come out. (Thanks to Meghan for some of these pictures.)

On the other side of this displays were eggs that were ready to hatch throughout the day. We watched 3 brand new chicks "pecking" at their egg. We came back later to see that the chick was completely out.
a shadow activity where I got a pic of Cora's profile. Kalli wouldn't look the right direction for me to get her's.

It took perseverance but she was able to climb the wall.
