Fries in the trash can

There are MANY posts still coming from the past couple months but didn't want to forget this story. Today I had to discuss with Cora that the trash can is not where we get our snacks.
Kalli and I were in the living room and I heard rustling in kitchen.  I asked Cora what she was doing and she said..."french fry." I had thrown away a bag from McD's and for some reason, Cora found it in the trash. Not only did she find the McD's bag but dug through the bag for the french fry container and brought that to me. I asked where she found it..."the trash can". I said, "we don't eat things we find in the trash." She says...okay. And then asks to eat the fries still. Obviously I wasn't convincing enough about not eating "trash."  I say no and explained again that we don't eat food in the trash. She thinks for a moment and says..."okay, mom....just one then."  Love this girl.
