North Dakota..............a visit to the homeland

It seems fitting that Coralyn takes a visit to my homeland since she has been to Peter's homeland :) I would typically plan out the trip months in advance and figure out all the details. Well, on a whim, Coralyn and I joined my mom and Amanda on their planned adventure to ND. They were leaving on Friday morning and on Thursday night while picking up Coralyn from my parents house (they were babysitting for date night) the discussion of their trip came up. My mom mentioned we were welcomed to come. I thought about it the entire 10 minutes home and decided with Peter that we would go....Coralyn and I that is. I then spent the next few hours packing and at 7 am we were off on our adventure. So spontaneous :)

Coralyn was great traveling and even better while there. She slept like a champ in her pack n play and made a ton of new friends (Grandma Alice, Elaine, Jane, Marilyn, Sydney, Laura, Blake, Susie, Tim, Sally, Steve, and Inga, to name a few.) I particularly loved our time with my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. We saw their beautiful home and had such a nice time with them. Coralyn saw her first guinea hen, rooster, chicken, baby kitten, baby chick, and geese.

Some other highlights were:
Tommy's open house
Church nursery with Mary
the Super Slide ride
Seeing church my mom and dad were married in
shopping
Visiting with old friends
Cora enjoyed eating ice cream (amanda's Mcflurry and ice cream cup)
Baby dolls and toys where we stayed :)
