7 Months

Peek-a-boo....she was hiding behind the couch and waiting for me

Wow, it is hard to believe that Coralyn is 7 months old today. Time has flown by. She is becoming more of a little person than a baby everyday. She is a complete joy and we love her so much.

Coralyn is a great eater. She is now eating 3 meals a day and nursing 3 times a day as well. Her schedule is great for us and she has done well with it. She is a very calm eater. Often looking like a baby bird with the way she opens her mouth for a spoonful of mush. She doesn't reach for the spoon or put it in her hair but I imagine those days are ahead of us.

Recently she has added a few new tricks. She can pick up Cheerios like a pro :). She seems to like to hold her fingers in the pincer grip because she will look at the air...look like she is grabbing the air and then either put her finger in her mouth like she is eating something or tap her forehead like she is thinking. It is pretty funny. She loves to nod her head as though she is saying "Yes of course!"

Today she started making the "mamamama" sound. It seemed like she was more frustrated as she was making this so I do not think she was referring to me....just kidding. She is not crawling but she can get where she wants to go with rolling, stretching, and straightening her legs. Her favorite things to find/"play" with are chords, wooden spoons, and paper. She is keeping us on our toes.

Grandma Lewis is coming to visit this month and we are looking forward to that. It is hard to have so much family far away but we cherish their visits as well as feel the family we have close by a blessing.
