So Coralyn's weight is on the rise. She was born at a whopping 8 lbs 13 oz but then hit her lowest weight on Friday, July 18th at 8 lbs even. Since then she started gaining. As of Friday, August 1 she weighed 8 lbs 10 oz, just shy of her birth weight. The doctor has a goal that she gains 8 - 11 oz by this upcoming Friday. This is a pretty lofty goal at more than 1 oz per day. We will see if she can meet it.
With this weight gain, Coralyn is now no longer wearing newborn clothes. She has graduated to 0-3 month. She wore a onesie the other day that was a newborn size and we decided she looked a little like a sausage squeezed into it. That made us officially graduate her to the next size in her closet.
We expect she will change a lot in the coming week as she gains these additional ounces. Gone is our little newborn :)
